And now for the question upon which this book will be based. Have you ever seen God--or evidence of His hand--during a baseball game?
By this I don’t necessarily mean did you ever see God coaching third base or sitting on the bench instructing a player on the pitch selection He was about to face.
(Although if you have experienced God in this way I would really like to know about it). What I mean is at any level—whether it be Little League or professional ball—as a player or a fan,
in person or on radio or television, in the reality of watching a night game at Fenway or the fantasy of playing a statistical recreation game in the privacy of your room—have you ever
experienced God’s grace during a baseball game? Have you ever felt His undeniable presence and understood something He was trying to impart to you? Have you ever witnessed an event during
a game that you clearly knew God had a hand in the outcome? Have you ever been part of a baseball game where you are sure God was imparting some important message to you? To see an
